The Dark Knight Rises: Release date, cast and plot

The third and final installment of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, “The Dark Knight Rises” is one of the most anticipated movies of 2012.

The film was originally set to be released in July 20, 2012, but was pushed back to a December 21, 2012 release date due to post-production delays.

The cast of “The Dark Knight Rises” includes Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Tom Hardy as Bane, Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake and Michael Caine as Lucius Fox.

Plot details are being kept heavily under wraps, but the film is said to picks up eight years after the events of “The Dark Knight,” with Batman having retired and Gotham City left to clean up the mess left behind by the Joker. However, Bane arrives in Gotham with plans to destroy the city and its protector Batman.

The Batman is an upcoming American superhero film based on the DC Comics character Batman. The film is directed by Matt Reeves and produced by Dylan Clark, Peter Chernin, Jenette Kahn, and Barbara Muschietti. It stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne / Batman, with Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Jayme Lawson, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell in supporting roles. The film was announced in early 2019 after Ben Affleck left the director’s chair. Matt Reeves was hired to replace him later that year. filming began in January 2020 in London, England and finished in late March 2020.

The Joker: Release date, cast and plot

The Joker is an upcoming American psychological thriller film directed and produced by Todd Phillips, who wrote the screenplay with Scott Silver. The film, based on the DC Comics characters, stars Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker.

Set in 1981, the story follows Arthur Fleck, a failed stand-up comedian whose descent into insanity and nihilism inspires a supervillain known as the Joker. The film’s supporting cast includes Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Shea Whigham, Marc Maron and Douglas Hodge.

Phillips conceived Joker during the filming of his previous project War Dogs (2016), and throughout 2017 he began developing it with Silver. The two submitted their first draft of the script to Warner Bros. in August 2018; Warner Bros. hired additional writers to help fine-tune the script in September. Phillips pitched his vision for the film to Warner Bros. executives Jon Berg and Toby Emmerich in December 2018; they green lit production after being impressed with his pitch. Principal photography began in New York City that September and concluded in December 2018; filming also took place in Newark.

Joker is scheduled to be released in the United States on October 4, 2019 by Warner Bros. Pictures in IMAX and Dolby Cinema formats.

Harley Quinn: Release date, cast and plot

The upcoming Harley Quinn movie, starring Margot Robbie, now has an official title and release date. The DC Extended Universe spin-off will be called Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) and is due out on 7 February 2020.

Batgirl: Release date, cast and plot

The release date for Batgirl is still to be announced, but the cast and plot are starting to take shape. The movie will focus on Barbara Gordon, the daughter of Commissioner Gordon, as she takes on the mantle of Batgirl. We don’t know too much about the plot yet, but it is rumored that the Joker will make an appearance.
